Members at the December meeting agreed a strategy for winning seats on the proposed new "super council" in May 2019, heard from RMT rep Jim Buchanan about the failure of rail privatisation and unanimously agreed to support the CWU in their current dispute with Royal Mail over cuts to pay and pensions.
The meeting also agreed a railway campaign, aimed at raising awareness in Hamworthy, Branksome and Parkstone about the proposed changes to the South Western Railways timetable. We will be leafleting the public at these stations during the week commencing 9 December.
