Members were out today leafleting the public and knocking on doors in the Poole Town area, with a simple Christmas message: things would be better under a Labour government. This is what we would see:
- More money for the NHS and an end to hospital car park charges
- Thousands more council and housing association homes being built every year
- No more student tuition fees
- The railways, water companies and Royal Mail back in public ownership
- A National Education Service with more free childcare for two, three and four year olds
- A guaranteed triple lock for pensioner incomes, free bus passes and winter fuel allowance
- An end to zero hours contracts and a minimum wage of at least £10 an hour
- Four new public holidays
- More police officers and firefighters
- A Brexit deal that works for ordinary people by retaining the benefits of single market and customs union
Wishing you a peaceful and prosperous New Year from Poole Labour Party.
