The Darwins and the Evolutionary Brass Section were genuinely chuffed to bits to be asked to open this year's Grooves on the Green community festival in Lower Parkstone. Appearing for the first time in the EBS were Lauren Morgan (tenor sax) and Richard Curren (trombone) - standing in for Mike Hopkins and Jules Whitehead respectively - but holding it all together, the wonderful Jan Boler on trumpet. The short video clip at the bottom gives you an idea of what the band sounded like at the back of the park!

Mike Hopkins (Sax), Julian Whitehead (Trombone) and Jan Boler (Trumpet) - collectively known as the Evolutionary Brass Section joined The Darwins for two gigs recently - one at the Cellar Bar, Boscombe and the other at the Henfest in Wimborne. Both times they completely blew the audience away (pun intended!). We'll be putting up some brand new videos of the six of them in action very soon, but if you haven't seen them yet - make sure you don't miss Grooves on the Green on 9 July 12.45pm, when the band will be the opening act at this great community festival.

The band will be joined for the first time this year, by the fantastic Evolutionary Brass Section, when they take to the stage at Chaplins Cellar Bar on 10 June. This will be one not to miss!
