This year, The Darwins played three times (officially) at the Wimborne Folk Festival - and once unofficially when Neil and Geoff were moved on by a steward when busking because they were deemed a "health and safety" risk! Thanks to everyone who came to see us, and we hope to be back next year.
The Darwins have only gone and won the final of the Live and Loud competition (in the over 45's category) to play at this year's Wimborne Folk Festival. Expect to see us on Friday night 8 June and Sunday late afternoon 10 June on the programme. More details to follow. We'll be joined on stage by our new member - Charlie Goodwin on accordion. Should be well worth a look!
As part of the Oxjam Bournemouth fundraiser on Sunday 22 October, the band took to the Lighthouse stage in the Shelley Theatre to play a half hour set. At the end, we were joined by the talented Mr Charlie Goodwin on accordion - and a super jolly time was had by all!. Pictures by the wonderful Di Girdwood.
