Poole Labour had one of its biggest turnouts in recent times for the annual Tolpuddle Martyrs' Festival. A huge crowd heard from Frances O'Grady, TUC General Secretary, Angela Rayner, Shadow Education Secretary and Jeremy Corbyn, Labour leader. During his 50 minute speech he laid out some of the issues an incoming Labour government would tackle - but one of the key themes was the creation of a National Education Service and greater support for young children. When asked, Corbyn even said he'd enjoyed watching a video of Poole CLP's panto - Jeremy and the Beanstalk - which we sent to him earlier in the year. He said we were a very creative CLP!
